Looking for a fun day trip for the whole family? The excellent Oregon Coast Aquarium can be found in Newport, 60 miles (75 minutes) from Albany and 48 miles (58 minutes) from Corvallis. The Oregon Coast Aquarium offers both indoor and outdoor exhibits, including a great Discovery Zone for kids that blends education with entertainment. Outdoors, you'll find cool exhibits like the Seabird Aviary and Octopus Cave. Love historic lighthouses? The Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area has two lighthouses for you to discover, each with its own unique history and delightful design. The natural beauty around both lighthouses is stunning to see, and there's also a Visitor Center where you can learn all about the area. Both the Yaquina Head and Yaquina Bay lighthouses were built in the 1870s and still operate to this day. You'll find both lighthouses about 60 miles (75 minutes) from Albany and 48 miles (58 minutes) from Corvallis.
