Planning a move to Albany or Corvallis to start 2025? Whether you're visiting a local thrift shop to give back by donating items from your previous home or purchasing items for your new one, shops like Habitat for Humanity's ReStores have so much to offer. Of course, you don't have to be shopping for a home to donate or to enjoy the great deals available at ReStores. Our real estate agents have more on what you can find and how to donate at three local ReStore locations.
Get to Know Habitat for Humanity
All ReStore locations are operated by the Habitat for Humanity non-profit organization, which provides a variety of essential housing services for those in need. These include both making critical repairs to existing homes and building new homes. Benton Habitat for Humanity, for example, has constructed 39 single-family homes in Benton County since 1991, providing housing for more than 224 people.
Each ReStore serves as a key fundraiser for its local Habitat for Humanity chapter, where you can both shop for affordable products and donate your own. Local ReStores around Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon all have quite unique selections with a common theme of home improvement.
Corvallis
Benton Habitat for Humanity – 4840 Philomath Blvd., Corvallis, OR 97333
Benton Habitat for Humanity has been serving the community since 1991, and their ReStore is the perfect place to visit when you're planning a big home project. Think of it as a discount home improvement store with a great selection of building supplies, tools, cabinets, appliances, flooring, doors, windows, electrical equipment, and more. You'll find more than 15,000 square feet of home improvement goods to explore here.
Just finished a home project, and have some extra items you'd like to donate? They're currently accepting appliances, building materials, furniture, doors, flooring, hardware, lighting, lumber, home accents, and home and garden items. Make an appointment for larger donations, or stop by anytime during donation hours every Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Albany
Albany Habitat ReStore – 1225 SE 6th Ave., Albany, OR 97321

They've got tons of home decorations, furniture in great shape, outdoor décor, and items to help with all of your gardening needs. They do stock (and accept donations of) home improvement products as well, including many of the items that we covered for the Benton ReStore.
