What could be a better way to spend a summer evening than an outdoor concert under the stars, around the corner from homes in Albany and Corvallis? There are two excellent, local outdoor concert series offering great performances all summer long. Plus, they are entirely free to attend! River Rhythms – 489 NW Water Ave., Albany, OR 97321

• Bridging Past and Present in Albany
  The River Rhythms concert series has been a summer staple for decades, with shows on select Thursday evenings throughout the summer at Monteith Riverpark. The concert series began more than 40 years ago, with a fascinating list of past performers who have taken the stage over the years. All concerts begin at 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted, but you're welcome to come to the park early to enjoy a variety of activities and vendors, which are typically available starting around 5:30 PM.

• Summer 2025 Concert Schedule
  The performance lineup for River Rhythms always features an eclectic mix of genres, and this year is no exception. The full summer schedule for 2025 starts with Tiffany (July 10, 2025), followed by Bohemian Queen (July 24), the Blind Boys of Alabama (July 31), Collin Raye (August 7), and Don McLean (August 14). There are often opening acts as well, which are typically announced via the City of Albany social media accounts.

• What to Know Before You Go
  While there's no cost to attend River Rhythms concerts, organizers do encourage a $1 donation if you're able to help keep this beloved summer series going for years to come. While you're here for the concert, be sure to check out some of the other activities available. There's a great arts and crafts booth for kids that's open before most concerts, as well as a selection of food vendors that vary with each show. Outside food and drink are also permitted, if you'd prefer packing a picnic.

Music in the Park – 299 S. 23rd St., Philomath, OR 97370

• A Summer Tradition in Philomath
  Why settle for one outstanding local concert series when you could have two? Music in the Park is Philomath's free series of summer concerts, held on the second Wednesday and fourth Sunday of every month from late May through early September. All concerts take place at Philomath City Park starting at 6:00 PM and typically last for around two hours. You'll see a variety of excellent local bands throughout the summer, and there's never a cost to attend.

• Music in the Park 2025 Schedule
  The full lineup of performers for Music in the Park 2025 hasn't been announced just yet, but we can tell you exactly when the concerts will take place this summer. There are shows on June 11 & 22, July 9 & 27, August 13 & 24, and September 10, 2025.

• What to Expect at City Park
  Planning to bring the whole family for Music in the Park? Since there's no admission cost, all you need to worry about bringing is seating. The seating area is on the lawn at the park, so bringing along a few lawn chairs can help you maximize your enjoyment of the show.
